A day on Ven from Gammeleksgården
Drive to Landskrona
About 10 km and a quarter of an hour from the farm to Skeppsbron. Park by the terminal.
Take the boat
Just under half an hour across to Bäckviken. Buy your ticket online from Ventrafiken in advance, especially in summer.
Rent a bike
Bikes can be rented at the harbour. The island is small enough to cycle around in a day.
Back to the farm
Have a round of mini golf in the evening sun and sleep well. Check-out isn't until 11 am.

You don't have to catch the last boat back, and you're close to Helsingborg, Landskrona and the ferry to Helsingør.

Are there hotels on Ven?
Yes, but only a handful of small places to stay, and they fill up fast in summer. That's why many people stay on the mainland and take the boat over for the day.
How far is it from Gammeleksgården to the Ven boat?
The boat leaves from Skeppsbron in Landskrona, about 10 km from the farm and a quarter of an hour by car. There is parking right by the terminal.
How long does the boat to Ven take?
The crossing from Landskrona to Bäckviken on Ven takes just under half an hour. The boat runs all year round, several times a day. Buy your ticket online from Ventrafiken, otherwise there can be a long wait in summer.
Can I take the car to Ven?
You can, but we recommend leaving the car in Landskrona. The island is small and is best explored by bike. Bring your own bike on the boat for a fee, or rent one at the harbour in Bäckviken.
Why stay on the mainland rather than on the island?
You get quiet rooms with a private bathroom, free parking and a short drive to the E6. You can do Ven one day and Helsingborg, Landskrona or Kronborg the next, without having to catch the last boat back.
